Kohlrabi is hosting a PhD research competition that allows graduate research students to showcase the innovative and socially impactful work, providing them with a valuable opportunity to raise the profile of their research.

Entering is easy! PhD students from all disciplines are welcomed to share their research by submitting a lay summary of 250-300 words. Your summary should highlight your research background, methods, findings, and how your work can positively impact the society, public health, or wellbeing. Make it engaging and easy to understand for our public panel!
Prizes include:
1st Prize: £50 voucher + one free training session of their choice + one 30-minute career or research mentoring session
2nd Prize:Â One free training session of their choice + one 30-minute career or mentoring session
3rd Prize:Â One free training session of their choice
All prize winners will have the opportunity to write about and feature their work on our website and social media platforms.
All submissions will be anonymously reviewed by a panel made up of two PPIE members—community members from diverse backgrounds across the UK with no prior research experience—and Kohlrabi researchers. They will evaluate which projects they think could make the most positive impact on people's health and wellbeing.
Please submit your entries via this link. The submission portal for the competition will remain open until noon on 25th November. Unfortunately, late submissions will not be accepted.
